Becoming a LinkedIn junky

I signed up for LinkedIn last week, and I have wasted too much time on it in the meantime. Pawing through pages of old acquaintances is an excellent work avoidance technique. And since it seems kind of business oriented, you don’t have to feel as guilty about wasting time.

Just found the statistics on my “network” this morning. 25% of my network is from Brazil. Since I only have 3 contacts, my network is heavily dominated by one contact (runs a doggie day care) with over 500 contacts. Thanks to her, I am within 3 degrees of nearly everyone in my geographic area.
